Collin Gillespie Obituary

Said goodbye to my best friend of 18.5 years on Monday. My sweet boy. Literally always by my side through thick and thin...if i was at home, he was by my side. He's been with me since he was 6 weeks old. He was the best, most human-like kitty I've ever had. So smart, funny, sweet, intuitive and was such a good "Mommy" while raising Eddie and Moe, two abandoned babies we took in when they were about 5 weeks old and he was 3. They were outside and about to starve to death. Jess and I took them in and even though he couldn't nurse them, he mothered them in every other way, even after they grew up and until the day he died.We lost Moe a few years ago but Eddie remains and I don’t know what he will do without Collin. He was the most special cat I've ever known and I've known many.

I had been able to keep him pretty comfortable for the last year or so with pain meds for the arthritis in his front legs but things suddenly took a pretty sharp turn for the worse and i couldn't let him go on if he was in serious pain and had to really struggle to walk. It is THE hardest thing I've ever had to do. My heart will be forever broken.

To my sweet boy...I truly hope the story about The Rainbow Bridge is true and that we will be together again some day. Thank you for always being by my side. I love you so much and will miss you forever, my sweet baby kitten.
